Nike partnered with product (RED) to promote Nike’s new product against HIV and AIDS and also protecting the people infected with it, especially in Africa. The launch event was held in NikeTown London with famous footballers including Chelsea’s Didier Drogba, Arsenal’s Andrei Arshavin and Fulham’s Clint Dempsey plus U2′s vocalist, Bono. The main advocacy is the connection of athletes and the sign of caring for people in Africa as said by Nike and (RED):
“The (RED) Nike laces can tie athletes around the world together with people living under threat from HIV in Africa in a beautiful way” said Professor Michel D. Kazatchkine, Executive Director of the Global Fund. “Wearing these (RED) laces is a sign that you care about others – and it helps us to protect and treat millions of people who every day risk infection or struggle with the effects of HIV”
Nike’s main product as of now is the red laces, which costs only $4. The profits go to the people in Africa. I’m planning to buy one of these to help fight HIV and AIDS and help the people in Africa because I care. Yes, I’m a footballer and I will spread this advocacy to my teammates.
Let’s join the cause!
